Who Can Become a Cockroach?
Anyone aged 16 or above can join the CJP. We welcome:
- Indian citizens of any state, language, religion, or background
- The Indian diaspora — anyone of Indian origin living outside India
- Students, professionals, unemployed graduates, freelancers, homemakers, retirees — every life situation is welcome
- Supporters and members of other political parties — joining CJP does not require you to leave any other party

For International Members (Indian Diaspora)
If you are based in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE, Singapore, Germany, or anywhere else — yes, you can absolutely join. Our founder Abhijeet Dipke is himself based at Boston University, so international membership has been part of the CJP from day one.
International members cannot vote in Indian elections, but you can fully participate in online campaigns, content creation, and our global diaspora Telegram channels. There are currently active CJP diaspora coordinators in Boston, San Francisco, London, Toronto, Sydney, Dubai, and Singapore.
Want to Start a Local Chapter?
If your city doesn’t yet have a CJP chapter, you can start one. You’ll need a minimum of 10 founding members, a designated chapter coordinator, and a simple application form (sent to you after registration). Chapters organise local meetups, campus visits, and city-specific campaigns.
Active chapters currently operate in: Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, and Surat.
